I am a 64 year old lady and have weak, splitting nails. I have tried just about everything to make my nails stronger and stop splitting; nothing has worked. Is there anything I can take or use to make my nails stronger and help them grow?

okay well i have a really bad habit of biting my nails like when im bored,nervous or when i see someone that i have a HUGE crush on.
and my nails are like the size of a baby’s nails i’ve tried not to bit them so much but its not really working. and i need my nails to grow faster! so they look normal.

It’s taken me a long time to stop biting my nails. Perfume or anything that makes them taste bad doesn’t work for me. I bite them anyway. I’ve found an unusual solution: Black nail polish. For some reason I do not feel inclined to bite my nails when they are painted an extremely dark color; especially keeping the white tips of my nails covered in this very dark paint. I don’t know about you, but seeing the white tip on my nails makes me more inclined to bite them. Also, carrying a foam nail file in your purse to even out a nail that splits is a good way to avoid rationalizing–"I’m just biting my nail to even it out." Next thing you know, nail’s gone, right?
Anyway, try running some black nail polish over those baby nails. I’m curious to see if this works for other people.

I’ve cut the tips off with clippers, but now stuck to the nail bed is the other part. I keep trying to lift it, but I feel like I’m lifting my whole nail. They’re not going anywhere!! They are stuck– bigtime.
It looks terrible and I need them gone. Pronto.

You can go to the salon and get them professionally removed not totally sure how much that would cost though. I always just soak them in remover or warm water and it lifts the glue and they come off, does take awhile though.

i have met one or two guys in the past who i’ve noticed have relatively short, manly nails…except for a very long pinky nail on one hand. wtf does this symbolize?

I have a lot of dark reds, but they always show up lighter than the colour in the bottle. Can anyone recommend some nice, elegant, dark colours? Anything blackish red, or black cherry is what I’m looking for.

The word manicure really have me puzzled. If you break the word down it reads, man i cure. So i wondered, what does nail polish have to do with it and why is doing your nails called, a manicure.

I have tried all different nail polishes and taken calcium..one healthshop worker said i have poor circulation.

Biotin is usually good for building stronger nails and for healthier hair.

I want to have longer hair and nails.But I want my nail and hair just grow faster,or just have a hair and nail growing potential?Nothing expensive, OK?

Drink KNOX Gelatin you can buy it at a store like Safeway or what not or use Hard as nails for just your nails I drink alot of Gren tea and my nails and hair grow fast .

I have always had my nails done and always had the acrylic type as the gel was never offered to me…i have been researching on the internet about the differences between the two and it seems resounding that the gel nails are better for your natural nails. I was wondering how durable the gel nails are though and can you still have them over a tip extension as my natural nails are quite short.

My friend is 24 and keeps his fingers long. Why is that? He refuses to cut them up. He is not rocker, emo, guitar player, etc. He is very shy and doesn’t talk much. I have asked to him and he doesn’t want to tell me. He looks creepy with those nails. Why does he do that? I want to know if has to be with a frustation or something since he is very insecure comming from an abusive home. I would like to help him in some way.

Maybe he is a crossdreser or thinking about being a transsexual. Why dont you just ask him?
